Any fellow North Americans in London this summer?
Hi all,
US grad student doing a 10-week biotech ER stint in London. Anyone here want to meet up for drinks/coffee? Could use some more friends here :)
Cheers.

I'm not from NA, more like from Southern France, but I'll also be moving to London this summer and wouldn't mind taking you up on your offer if you are open to non-Americans :) if not (say, because you feel a little homesick), that's totally cool too. I do have a few friends around London already, but it would be nice to know someone also in the grind (i.e., in the finance/consulting life) as none of my friends work in that.
In any case, good luck and have a great summer! (bring an umbrella, it will likely rain at some point)
Absolutley! Will DM you.
Also, for anyone else stumbling across my post, I am of course open to all individuals. Sorry, I see how my post can be taken as NA only - not my intent.
Happy to! I'll probably arrive late june for a 4 July start. So, week 1 will be pretty hectic, and I'll be travelling the first weekend afterward. But thereafter, I will be free (well... as free as a brand new AC/BA/A can be!).
You’ll find loads of Americans here in London, but the beauty of the city is actually in its diversity. I recommend you use your 10 weeks to try to make some really good friends from a couple other countries and perhaps even take a few trips out to Europe. Unless you’re struggling to make friends, the last thing you want to do is immerse yourself in your home culture when visiting another.
Thanks for your reply. Am open to anything and already planning some EU trips! Any recommendations?
Cheers.
