Anyone interested in vinyl music? If so what genres and eras?
I have some shitty/crusty punk and 90s punk revival as well as 90s alternative. my pops has pretty much everything i'd ever want from the 60ss, 70s, and 80s. What kind you got? as for finance, vinyl has been roaring back and major labels are going to be regurgitating nostalgic box sets all over the place.
Weirdly enough much of the 90s albums are actually quite valuable. The medium was almost extinct then and the few bands that pressed to vinyl did so in very small numbers.
I have thousands of albums. I buy some pretty much every time I see them for sale. I have albums from pretty much the 50s to stuff that came out in 2014. The focus however is from 1959 to 1986.

So vinyl sales doubled last year all the way up to only $10M. I get the nostalgia collection angle where you find an old album from back in the day (my chldhood albums still collect dust in my basement). And I get the mix-master angle where vinyl is a tool of the trade. But is anyone really buying new vinyl for any reason other than to brag about being a hipsterdouschebag ?
Global buyer of highly distressed industrial companies.
Pays Finder Fees
Criteria = $50 - $500M revenues. Highly distressed industrial. Limited Reps and Warranties. Can close in 1-2 weeks.
Nearly eight million old-fashioned vinyl records have been sold this year, up 49% from the same period last year, industry data show. Younger people, especially indie-rock fans, are buying records in greater numbers, attracted to the perceived superior sound quality of vinyl and the ritual of putting needle to groove.

That is 10 million units at roughly $25 each. Quarter of a billion dollars isn't anything to sneeze at.
Hmm, I had heard ten million dollars not units. I was not impressed with that amount of dollars. But, this link says 8 million units - that's impressive. http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-biggest-music-comeback-of-2014-vinyl-re…
