Moving to San Francisco and considering taking an electric bike to work rather than owning a car. Anyone else do this? Pros and cons?

Sounds like a good/fun idea. Probably best to keep your hair short so you don't have helmet hair and also hopefully dress is casual or business casual.
You'll be fine, SF is probably the most LGBT+ friendly city in the country.
1) you’re insinuating that biking is a joke and only acceptable if your LGBT and 2) you’re making LGBT people into a punchline. Biking is a great form of exercise for everyone, it’s great for the environment, and a lot of fun. Maybe if actually you rode a bike, you’d have a low body fat percentage and be attractive like the gays ;)
