Anyone else planning to withhold donations to their alma mater?

I’m done writing checks, it took four days for the administrators at my alma mater to put out a milquetoast statement condemning the massacres of 1,000 civilians in Israel. The same administrators managed to put up a condemnation of the January 6 riots on January 6. I suggest fellow alumni keep their checkbooks closed. Also, the statement is buried on a university website page, the cowards couldn’t even post it to Twitter.

It’s become painfully clear if it hadn’t been already that universities are happy enough to take Jewish donations, but are markedly less happy about having Jewish students. This shouldn’t be surprising given the Ivy League maintained a quota system into the 60s and has historically hasn’t given a shit about antisemitism.

In essence, I’d recommend giving to charities that actually improve the world, for what it’s worth my donation is now going to a food bank.

Lol why would I ever donate to a school with a multi-billion dollar operating budget, $1b+ endowment, and access to basically infinite government money? Plus to them I'm a hateful bigot, all the woke bullshit was getting annoying when I was there but has just gone to insane levels of leftist racism since I left. I genuinely hope they run into serious financial trouble and have to shut down the low value colleges (we all know what they are).

I actually don't know what's worse--the open anti-Semitism from the universities and the apologetics for murdering Jewish women and children OR the gross ignorance of the history of Judea and Samaria that leads these fools toward belief that the "Palestinians" are colonized people. These so-called educated people believe that Arab Muslims are native to the land and are "colonized," as if the empires of Great Britain, Ottoman Turks, and Rome never existed and had no hand in the area. You'll even hear these "educated" men and women deny any Jewish connection to the land at all, as if they could re-write provable history in real time.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is proof positive that Western universities regularly generate poorly educated and immoral scumbags.

Curious if those who are throwing MS can actually defend the position, "No, Israel is a colonizer of the long-standing nation of Palestine because the British Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and Roman Empire did not occupy Judea and Samaria for +-2,000 years before the modern nation-state of Israel. Also, the Jewish people have no historic connection to Judea and Samaria--that is a lie made up by Zionists in the 1890s."

Here's the reality: Israel was granted the tiniest of tiny land partitions in the Holy land in 1948 as a safe space for Jews to live after they faced genocide during the Holocaust. The Muslims are so innately anti-Semitic that they almost immediately launched a war on the nascent nation of Israel, only to be humiliated militarily. What the Muslims call "occupied territory" is land the Jews won in a military victory in various wars Muslims launched on the Jews because the Jews dared to exist in Judea and Samaria. The Muslims were perfectly happy to be ruled by the Ottoman Empire for centuries, but once the Jews were allowed to live side-by-side, that was it! That was the first and last straw. They must die, according to Muslims. Like the Nazis, the Muslims are perfectly fine murdering babies to destroy the bloodline. There is no level of depravity that the Muslims will not achieve to satisfy their bloodlust, up to and including beheading infants.

I have not, and will not give cash to my college.

My company got bought and had to burn the donor advised fund (donation fund) a few years back with an obscene match.  We were the darlings of all the circuit, and I was #2 in donations to my high-school for everybody who graduated this millennium. I ended up as #2 overall behind the guy who does comedy on Saturday nights and really just mooches off his wife's Marvel movies.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
