Anyone here ever got a real cash(money) tip while working in finance? (Not a paycheck)
I am not talking about bonuses that you get in a paycheck. I am not asking about non-finance jobs.(Like if you were a waiter and got a cash tip)
I am asking if anyone here, while working in a business attire suit in the office got a cash tip from someone because they were really impressed with your work. Did your boss ever slip you a 100-dollar bill? (Outside your normal paycheck)
myself and two other guys each got 10k cash. We were specifically told to spend it and not put it in the bank
Were you at a fund - did it blow up 2 years later?
Nope, RE Developer. The money came directly from the CEO, not the shop itself
My boss gave me 5 dollars for Chinese New Years if that counts.
The partners at my current fund are fond of giving associates departing to business school 5-10k in prepaid credit cards and telling them to travel and enjoy life. The money comes directly from the partners and is on top of the regular bonus. It's a nice gesture and one that is well remembered.
