Apple Vs. Google - Who will win the music streaming war?

Two major deals that went down in the music world this year have involved Apple and Google. Who made the better deal, in your opinion?

My personal opinion, as someone who values music streaming heavily, I have to go with Google on this one. The integration of Songza into Google just sounds cool as shit, and the delivery of the music via streaming is done in a much more efficient and user friendly manner.

Songza's songs are hand picked by critics and DJ's, where as Beat's playlists are computer generated. Currently, I use Spotify radio and a lot is left to be desired by their services (which are computer generated if i'm not mistaken), a hole with which would seemingly be filled by Songza's model.

In the end, it seems as if Songza has a lot more potential than Beat's, so I have to go with Google.

I agree with everything, except for that Google Play absolutely destroys Spotify--However, they have the same issue with their radio it's truly awful.

Yea i'm starting to really lose my interest in spotify. I use to love it but when all my music started to get old, I had to look for a streaming radio service to expand my horizons. I cant fucking stand ads, so I dont even both with apple radio or pandora, but spotify's was ad free if you pay for the subscription, which I do ($5 for college students per month, not bad.) But the shitty thing is, spotify radio plays the same 10 songs on repeat pretty much.

I just want a more user friendly radio service that has the ability to truly introduce new listening options based off one song. So far nothing I have tried has done it for me (that isn't ad free. Apple radio actually isn't terrible, minus the ad every 2 songs.)

It looks like songza could fill the gap, if they decide to offer an ad free subscription.

Ever tried Grooveshark? I know most people use it to create their own playlists but they do have a curated streaming service similar to Songza.

WSO - help me decide

i just signed up for spotify premium 2 months ago and have been very happy with it except for the fact that it's missing some new stuff (e.g. new black keys album).... soooo i'm open to new ideas before i get too integrated into Spotify

reading the above comments it looks like Google Play is the way to go, yes?

does google play allow me to download to my phone/computer?

anything bad about google play?

Google due to versatility and current consumer loyalty. Also, Songza just has more potential than Beats. Nothing beats hand-selected songs, especially from experts. Also, songs that match the weather -- we've all wanted that. Integration with existing Google products is a plus. Apple has Google beat on licensing though, and definitely from a financial/economic point of view
