Application Fees For High Finance Jobs?

We all know that online applications are black holes because of the sheer volume of kids with 2.4 GPAs from Ohio State/ASU/Bama spamming an application to GS Classics that takes 5 minutes to fill out.

In order to make sure that the online applications are actually read, save BB/EBs money on HR manpower and generate an addition revenue stream, why don't BB/EBs implement application fees like colleges do? Say $250 per application per cycle, this would cut down on the amount of idiots with zero chances clogging up the applications and drowning the target 4.0s in an ocean of shit resumes.
