Are 5-10 Year Plans Dead?

People change, industries change, technology changes, our circles change, and our goals change. Most people switch their beliefs on what they want to study, if they want a family/children, and the type of career they want to pursue. Yet most people plan out their futures intensively going over long spans of time even though we hardly have any idea of where or who we'll be in a a year, much less five or ten. In such a fast paced world, are 5-10 year plans dead? How far into the future do you plan?

Life is like a Bob Ross painting. You can start out with a plan, have some happy little accidents, and just roll with it and change your plan, incorporate those accidents into the broader mix.

Nothing wrong with having a goal and changing it, but there is a lot wrong with never bothering to set goals.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
