honestly I think it's natural to do that...the summer internship I got came relatively easily to me and as a product of that I thought it inferior to other ones I would've had to work hard for, when in fact it really was on a similar level to the other jobs.
Didn't your parents ever tell you at age 16 that they will not buy you a car because you will appreciate it more if you pay for it yourself? Same thing....you appreciate things more if you work hard for them.
