I’m finding myself waking up with anxiety. Like as soon as I open my eyes, I just have horrible anxiety where I don’t want to move, think, eat, or do anything for awhile, and then it goes away once I get up and around.

Talk to somebody about it. If you woke up feeling nauseous and had a fever.. you'd go to the doctor (I hope). Likewise, if you wake up with anxiety that bad go see the professional who devotes their lives to helping with that problem.

I got this great advice: When you are stressed it is always the result of something you can control, or something you can't control. Mind blowing, right?

But.. write down everything that's bothering you. Then organize them into two buckets: In your control and Out of your control. The items in your control is now a to-do list. Start executing on your plans to improve. Modeling skills iffy? Practice that like a mofo. GPA too low? Study like crazy.

Out of your control is now stuff you have to accept. Too short to play for the NBA? Find something related like being a sports agent or whatever. Or just accept that you won't be point guard and find something else that interests you.

I also swim a lot. Its a good workout and its hard to hurt yourself while swimming.

Agreed, everything comes down what you can control and what you can’t. I would add that the deeper you dig, the more you find things seemingly outside your control (causing anxiety) are actually within your control. Sometimes this requires a paradigm shift.

I must have a complex because I think everything, barring rare exceptions, is within my control haha

Lift. Not only to blow off steam. But there's a relaxing element to the familiarity of the weights.. once you really get into it, you'll know what your body can do and what the weights should feel like. Not sure if others feel similarly, but IMO there's nothing better at the end of a long day
