Just benched 300 (yes I used the questionably heterosexual 2.5s). Most of my friends don't understand how prestigious this is - so I thought I would share it.

That entirely depends on which planet you’re sitting on.
Shoulders are permanently shot and max out around 295 now, but was a 405er back in my prime. Do remember working out at the same gym as one of my VPs, working in together for sets of 5, hitting 355x5 and thinking I was a beast, then him asking to take the 10s off and throw another 45 on. Most shameful day of my career.
Dude that's insane - I can't even imagine having a superior who is such a unit.
Pressed 145kg Monday, gonna slowly crank it up by 2.5kg. Hope to hit 150kg in 2 weeks, let's see if this happens.

93.4kg as of this morning. Ate way too much these past days so kinda bloated, I aim to weigh in the 92kgs range usually cuz at this weight I feel it's more fat than muscle. Compete in U93 weight class anyway. Need to get stronger
Back then 1-2x 140kg bench / ~83kg body weight
152.5kg @ 93kg BW in competition/training setting
305 at 170bw, can hit 225x13
Could rep 300+ np prior to 2x hernia in the last 2 years.
Lesson...just lift light and lots of reps especially if over 25.
peak was 340 at 235lbs, right now 285 at 200lbs
oh man this makes me miss being young. in college 10 years ago I was benching 315 for 5 reps. Nowadays after partially tearing a labrum and herniating a disc in my lower back, I probably bench similar to SpongeBob using two marshmallows
