Best banking/investing single platform?

Hi monkeys, 

I am an international student, and I am looking to open a bank account I can use to receive my SA salary, but also invest what I save. I am looking for something simple and where I can hopefully have all in one place.

By looking online, I have found Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Checking® account that seems like it provides both a bank account where I can receive my salary and connect it to a debit card, but also I should be able to invest my money. Does anyone have experience with it?

I am international so have no connections in the US, and I am not really sure what is the best option for the long run. Do you guys have any recommendation?
