For Chicago, if you're ending up at Red Head Piano Bar for a 5:00 am last call, you know you went off the rails.
Dinner at Roberts Steakhouse in the Hustler Club on 45th and 11th
Waigu steak with all the trimmings...and a crowd of silicone tits to cheer you on...followed by the champagne room.
i've been to plenty of fancy restaurants...in the US...nothing beats Roberts.
I live in Hell’s Kitchen and didn’t know this gem existed.
Thank you, kind sir. I’ll try it out as soon we re-open NYC.
Been to every major old school French restaurant, but a super-fun one was Jean Georges where the partner (law) who's a real oenophile advance-ordered his selection of wines for each of the 5 courses. No idea the cost, but definitely $$$ thousands. Food was beyond outstanding, tried things I'd never tasted before (certain type of crab, a special fois gras). We had a fabulous table, and there was an fun element of boy-girl shenanigans (not the first, not the last). This was a closing dinner, so definitely nothing raucous. We also used to have some lunches for closes - Le Cirque, La Grenoille - old school excellent midtown favorites where you literally need to go home after a 3-hour lunch (but you can't so you nap at your desk).
Holiday parties - now those used to be raucous - I've seen some craaaaazy (and not just the youngest attendees). NY Public Library, Metropolitan Museum Egypt Exhibit (spectacular, EXTREMELY raucous), Marriott Marquis, Cipriani Wall Street. Gorgeous, MUCH shenanigans, people getting called to HR in the days following, gossip, crazy hookups, after parties, etc. Good times. Hilarious memories. Very. Also have been to a couple of true NYC charity ball shindigs in a gown at the most beautiful hotels with very beautiful people. Those are quite fancy and fun and tables are multiples of 10K. Great memories -

I wish I could, but I need to pretend I'm a mature adult.

I was an analyst at an NYC based shop at the time and my first closed deal was for a client out in Oregon. We ended up booking a closing dinner at Bandon Dunes followed by a few rounds of golf in the morning. Don’t think I’ve ever had anything near as fun since then...
