Based on the most helpful WSO content, the best time to schedule an interview is earlier in the week and earlier in the day. Here's why:

  1. Earlier in the Week: Avoid scheduling important interviews on Fridays. If the interview was truly critical, it would likely have been scheduled earlier in the week. Fridays can also be less productive as people are winding down for the weekend.

  2. Earlier in the Day: Morning slots are generally better because interviewers are more focused and less likely to be fatigued. However, avoid the very first slot if possible, as the interviewer might still be settling into their day.

  3. Avoid Back-to-Backs: If you notice the interviewer has back-to-back meetings, consider booking a slightly off-standard time, like 10 minutes past the hour (e.g., 10:10 AM). This gives them a brief moment to reset, which they’ll likely appreciate.

By choosing a time that aligns with these principles, you increase the chances of having a more engaged and attentive interviewer.

Really? I don't mind a 9am, I'm a morning person. Can get it out of the way nice and early

I'm not a morning person. I would prefer to get up at 11am, workout for 2-3 hours and interview at 3pm.

Just thinking as if I were an interviewer I gotta make sure I get to the office by 9am for sure haha, but of course some guys always are there before anyway. So really depends but I’m not a morning person at all
