Best Shortcuts / Tricks to make life easier

What are some shortcuts / tricks you've relied on consistently? Anything ranging from work to other life hacks. Naming a few:

1. Enable / disable blue light filtering on PC to help your eyes

2. Switching Skype status to "Away" - depends on bank / team (some people may not like it) 

3. Only charging laptop / phone batteries to 80% to help them last longer

4. Clearing cookies before / incognito browsing when looking for flights (which may make them cheaper)

5. websites: remove.bg for background remover, pixabay.com for royalty free photos, insert ss before "youtube" in any YT video hyperlink to download videos.

6. Adding alarms to your phone to help you rest for a bit, redirect to this hyperlink

ctrl f = easy way to look through documents/websites. Great way to find important information using keywords to understand articles or academic papers quickly.

Work for yourself. Limitless up side, make your own hours. Hire who you want to work with instead of joining a team of randos. 

I find that the snipping tool is my best friend in a lot of scenarios. 

Doing what makes you happy.  Life is a hell of a lot more easy if you enjoy what you do. 

Learn to code. If you know how to automate all your boring mindless activities in your life you can save so much time. From buying groceries, to sending emails, all this can be automated with simple programs you can write with minimal knowledge. 

I use google calendar to plan my entire life. I love having a concrete reference that is both on my laptop and my phone that synchs my daily schedule and responsibilities.
