Best Way to Quit Juul

Topic says it all.

So I can bet I'm not the only analyst who vapes or has been trying to quit either. I started vaping in Sept 2018 and have continued to this day. I've tried to quit countless times by throwing away my Juul, only to end up buying another one a day or two later. I also end up chewing tobacco during those days without a Juul, which sucks because the reason I got into vaping in the first place was to stop chewing tobacco.

Right now I really would like to quit but it's not as easy to just go cold turkey, especially with something like nicotine.

So, to the people who have successfully quit Juul/cigs/tobacco - what did you see that worked best for you? Any tips, pointers, motivational quotes you have? Really need to kick this habit because it certainly is not doing my health any favors, and same with my wallet.

Cheers.

Get the gum or the patch or toughen up and quit cold turkey like people did in the old days.

I used to smoke cigarettes and then went into nicotine based vapes. I had a Saurin when those were the ones to have. Then a Juul.

I realized I was fucking myself and just stopped. OP, just do it. Once you get past the 30 minutes of craving it, it goes away bit by bit. Still to this day I crave one every now and then. Then it goes away.

Get to the point where you get one fat buzz in the morning, leave it at home, and come home to a nice buzz as well. In moderation with infrequent use you wont experience any negative effects to vaping. Using delayed gratification makes it easier to convince yourself to stick to it.

We all love ripping the juul at all hours of the day but once the lungs start to hurt it seems like we gotta quit. I’m helping my friend by holding onto his juul and only giving it to him late at night. He’s already cut back on hours a day that he rips, now he’s going for only juuling on weekends. Hopefully this helps him, this guy is the epitome of live fast die young or whatever the hell that idiotic saying is

Quit the Juul and quit chewing. Use gum for bad cravings but if you really commit you shouldn't need it.

I've heard taking a rolled up piece of paper towel and putting it in your lip helps. Had a friend that did that and he said it helped him stick to not chewing a lot. He said it made him relax like he had a chew because it felt similar having something in his lip. Maybe that will help a little.

never had a juul addiction but I dipped for 15 years and have been nicotine free for a while now with no cravings. dip is different from juul but what worked for me may help you.

first, stop buying juul stuff. throw out every thing you own by juul. buy some snus by camel/marlboro (a big supply). there's much less nicotine in there and it doesn't have the additives of regular dip/cigarettes so can be thought of as safer

I did that for the better part of 5 years before deciding I didn't want an addition to anything, so I just decided to drop. by that time, my body was not used to a ton of nicotine so it was pretty easy to quit

that, or if it's really bad, I've heard promising stuff on psychedelics helping break addiction cold turkey. mushrooms maybe, but LSD for sure. I realize that's illegal, but worth a shot

so I guess if I were you, I'd try cold turkey, psychedelics then cold turkey, or weaning off of it with less nicotine if you need that help

This is what worked for me, but ymmv. I never intended on quitting juuling but at one point I was going thru 2-3 pods in a single day, literally non stop ripping. I went thru so many pods that I got so nauseated by them and at one point realized I was just going thru the pods as quickly as I could because I found them to be really disgusting and just wanted to finish them up and then realized at that point I was 100% just throwing money away. This was maybe a year or two ago, and to this day even the thought of ripping cool mint pods makes me want to puke.

So basically rip thru as much juul as you can until you can’t juul no more

advice unclear; i have put my child up for adoption and purchased a motorcycle.

From my experience quitting cold turkey is the only way to make it stick. Dipped for about 7 years and tried gum and pouches to wean myself off but went cold turkey a few months ago and it’s the only time I’ve stuck with it

Tried quitting cigarettes a bunch of times for several weeks and would eventually always fail for one of two reasons:

  1. Things got really stressful
  2. Would go out drinking

Since those were my tripping points, I decided to stop trying to quit when things were easy. I waited for a really stressful stretch of weeks and then stopped smoking on a really stressful day. After those weeks, I blew it out partying. Since I started with the things that usually trip me up, it was like beginning the process on top of the mountain and then walking down rather than climbing up a mountain. Have now been tobacco-free for almost 15 years from a pack a day habit.

Get the tobacco flavored pods. That shit is so gross you wont want to smoke it.

waiting for my girlfriend to get home so i can rip her juul
