Big Bang is back!

"By the way, how are you with zippers? I need to go to the bathroom, and this one's gone all caddywhompus"

"To be honest, I did have a bad dream...Back to the Future 2 was in the Back to the Future 3 case"

"I heard her husband left her for a hot young undergad.
...That's so much better than the old ugly ones"

"I'd like to apologize for being insensitive, and for possibly making penguins seem like jerks...because 99% of them are stand-up guys"

"You know what the worst part is?
That you're having to process your emotional pain without vodka?
No........yeah"

"Now I know how you felt, getting mauled by that sex-crazed gorilla"

"I can relate to being a single parent...I have a dog"

"For the last time, I will not bring home bed bugs...because I looked in the bed and there are no bugs...no I will not consider sleeping in my garment bag"

hahahahaha

I'm just glad they finally got Raj to be able to talk to girls. That guy was long due for some character development.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: the Big Bang Theory is nerd blackface.

So what's your preference then - Community?

Note: I like both, though Community is more creative. Just wished BBT didn't use laugh track or live audience laughter.

Edit: Oh, thought of another nerd/geek-appreciative show - Futurama! Sadly that ended (again)...

Yeah, that one was a miss for me. But in general I quite like how they go all out on a theme for each episode. Like the video game episode, alternative universes, etc. I've never played dungeon and dragons, but I enjoyed Community's eps over Big Bang's one or two eps on it.

Big Bang's easier to watch though. More casual. Characters (besides Sheldon) are less wacky... if that's saying much.

saw your edit, also a HUGE futurama fan. i was legitimately depressed for a day or two when i saw the last episode. watching leela and fry grow old together was actually a really good ending episode.

Fuck you and your spoilers.

I can see how someone might find Big Bang Theory to be just straight up offensive...that's why it's so hilarious. That and I can appreciate/relate to some of the nerdiness because I do have a nerdy side. I also have a hipster side too...but that doesn't make me a hipster, because I can assure you I'm not.

While I'm still catching up before the new season starts, the most hilarious characters on Community (ie the most Big-Bang-esque) are the ones that could also come off as offensive, namely Senor Chang and Pierce...in fact you could say they are like "Asian blackface" and "Old Guy blackface" respectively...whatever that means.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't really see what's wrong with all that...it's just television, it's made up entertainment, and it's hilarious.
