Bloomberg Market Concepts
Has anyone purchased the BMC course and knows if one gets access to an interface like the one of a terminal? Or is it just watching explanatory videos - doesn't become clear from what they promote on their website.

Are you contemplating purchasing the course you can complete it at home? I'd tell you to not bother, it's like 8 hours anyways, and can easily be done in 6. I'd just stick to completing the BMC course on the Terminal at school. Maybe someone with more experience can chime in, I haven't noticed interviewers getting impressed by the Terminal certification, it's just something every b school student tends to have.
Seconded. BMC has typically been free for students if they use a university's terminal. The most major takeaway is probably a couple of functions they introduce you to, but you can also learn those just by experimenting. Nothing too useful there, but if you haven't got the time to experiment they tell you about some of the most widely-used functions directly. Agreed that BMC is not resume-worthy post-completion -- there are probably a million better ways to use that space.
Completed BMC two years ago in undergrad. It focuses much more on teaching rudimentary market concepts (as the name implies) than teaching terminal functions. If you've taken a finance/econ class or two it's mostly a waste of time.
But do I get any kind of interface access with it or is it just watching videos? I have no access to a terminal in university which means I would do the course from home.
I would imagine it's just videos. On the terminal itself it's just videos, and you have the option to interact with the terminal separately.
