1) The Secret Room Under Grand Central Station (Sploid)
Deep under Grand Central Terminal, beyond basements and subway lines and through 10 stories of bedrock lays a secret underground chamber that's almost as big as Grand Central Terminal itself. What's inside the room?

2) Attorney General Eric Holder is Putting Bankers Behind Bars Again (Vice)
Okay, well this article reads like your typical wall street criticism piece but nonetheless you should know what's going on in the Justice Department. Eric Holder isn't playing around.

3) Man Planted 1,359 Acres of Forest Since 1979 (Sploid)
The Forest Man is just a regular dude who, one day in 1979, decided to transform a 1,359 acres of barren land into a teeming forest. One tiny baby tree at a time, seed by seed he created a paradise that is now home for elephants, rhinos, deer, and even tigers. Talk about dedication.

5) Mind-Boggling Future Concept Art (Gizmodo)
I've always been fond of the 1920s concept art of "The Day of Tommorrow", seeing how a people of a different time imagined how the world would be like when they're long gone. That's still true today, especially with the wonders people can do with Photoshop and their own two hands. The gallery is a must-see.

7) The First Space Colonies Might Be Illegal (Motherboard)
The biggest challenge to getting functioning space hotels and moon colonies might not even be, you know, building them and subsisting in space. Instead, it might be navigating the tricky international legal framework governing off-world ownership.

8) Alleradd an Addition to The "SmartBrain" Race (Motherboard)
Alleradd you say? Sounds remarkably similar to certain prolific ADHD medication popular on college campuses and high pressure workplaces across the country. Nootropics, yay or nay? Would you consume these "brain-boosters"?

9) Govenor Rick Perry's Attorney Tried to Turn Him In (Vice)
Perry, (a conservative Republican), had hired a politically active progressive Democrat as his defense attorney. But, it turns out the man entrusted with preventing a grand jury from bringing criminal charges against Perry worked just as hard to put Perry in jail. Go figure.

10) The Bionic Transhuman Olympics (Motherboard)
Already, untainted urine samples have become as essential to top runners as their shoes. Brainy engineers have become as necessary to cyclists as their bikes. And the precise Carbohydrate/Protein ratio in meals consumed by swimmers the night before racing the 400-meter individual medley has become as important as flip turns. But what is peak human fitness in the face of technology?

Evory6) Summer is Skydiving 5,000 Feet onto a Slip n' Slide (YouTube)

As someone who has jumped out at 18,000 feet. 5000 is super low. I watched his landing as well, he is absolutely soaring when he gets close to the ground, normally you hit the ground going maybe 15mph MAX. I think he cut his chute before he hit the ground as well.

Thats absolutely nuts. I'm sure it takes a lot of skill to pull that one off.
