Boxing Gyms in NYC - Preferebly below 30th St. Around East Village for work
I'm in NYC and looking for a boxing gym. I'm looking for something around there not too far uptown (in East Village area or 10-15 min away). Any gyms? I've been doing rumble type boxing classes, but these are really a joke to actually work on my skills. I'm looking for a serious gym with a personal trainer/boxing related fitness classes... not looking to spar, but am trying to get back into it with personal trainer and hard boxing related workouts (ab exercises, etc). Preferably around $100/session (45 min - 1hr)
Any gym recommendations?
Have you tried Overthrow down on bleecker st?
No I haven't. Honestly I just started GRIT boxing and the workout is good. Luckily I know how to throw punches, but it's a good supplement for now.
Overthrow is solid, they have some pro/am boxers who give good technique, with a lot of hot girls. More of a cardio than a boxing workout. Trinity Boxing and Church Street are the real deal.
