Business Engagement/Introduction Fees?

Hello Fellow Monkeys,

Been in the community on and off and have had some exposure to PE/VC within the past 5 years. Currently in Leveraged Finance/Financial Sponsors at a sizable MM IB shop. Within the past 6 months, I've leveraged my network to create some significant business engagements with small biz owners around NYC.

Outside of the standard 2 & 20 fee structure you'd see on the street. I was curious to know what would be the typical/usual fee structure for someone initiating business introductions between two or more entities.

Some color: I met this individual who owns a small business and he mentioned he was looking for business partners to expand his shop and create greater outreach. Connected him to someone I knew who had a powerful market and is very adept in crowdsourcing. They seem to be on the right track to get a deal between the two.

What would be a fair fee I could ask to collect upon completion of the deal and future progressions?

Thanks!
