Hey guys, have any of you started or bought any outside businesses, as a supplement to your finance day job? I'm looking for ideas on how one can build that second stream of revenue. I know of a few ibankers who have invested in bars and restaurants - but those seem to be fickle businesses with a drawn-out j-curve. Years before the joint becomes profitable. I co-founded a private hospital chain in China, and I regret it, given the high cap-ex, and the difficulty getting users to change their behavior and use our private system instead of the free public hospitals. So have any WSO-ers found better side businesses to get into?
