Call BackFor Interview The Same Day But Not For The Position I Applied To
I received an e-mail for an interview a few hours after applying to a Credit Analyst position. The interviewer sent me two attachments to jobs he wanted to discuss with me. They were not the CA job. I thought it would be a mistake or they are trying to recruit me for a different position because I don't meet some requirements for the CA position.
I asked and was told that their analysts typically have at least X number years of experience. I have half of the minimum required years of experience. I am not interested in the alternatives at all, but the recruiter did say he'll touch upon the credit analyst role. I haven't canceled if because I want to hear what she has to say about the role I don't meet the minimum years of experience for, but I'm not interested in the alternatives I'm being offered to be considered for.
What do you all make of this?
There is no phone screen. We are jumping straight into zoom. LInkedIn puts me at the top 10% of ~50 apps
