Can bankers actually tell the difference b/w nice suits?
I know I sure as hell can't, I mean i'm sure some can come off shitier than others, but is it by really that wide of a margin?

I think you can tell when it's awful, and you can tell when it's awesome but middle three quartiles are probably hard to tell the difference.

I can tell if a suit fits or if it doesn't fit, but not necessarily the quality of the suit.
Yah, fitted suits are easy to tell.
Also, if the suit is against daylight or just a very visible room, then you can sometimes tell the material that it's high quality. I can't give you a dollar range though.
Those with an eye notice the cut of the suit first. If you have a great cut that fits right you can get away with less quality. The stitching gives away the quality of the suit as well so make sure the stitching is as flawless as possible (not threads sticking out everywhere).
