Can I contact employers about a carpool??

I somehow found affordable accomodation for my summer internship at a suburb where a bunch of seniors/people already working at the company live at. Could I contact the office and ask if anyone would be open to carpool? Or is that a weird ask? Definitely going to word the email well but I wanted to hear other people's opinions. I'm only a sophomore and can't get car for the summer and having reliable transportation to work on most days would be extremely helpful.

Tell them you're trying to save the world, one trip at a time.

Definitely do not do this, that is super weird to ask.

You either need to live close enough to work (even if more $) or rent a car for the summer, full stop. It's not the company's job to find you transport.

Also carpool would imply you pick them up on some days to split driving/car wear and tear, you are instead asking seniors to come pick you up every day lol.

It'd be one thing if you and your analyst buddies independently set up a carpool, but beyond weird to ask people way above you. A second time for good measure - do not do this.
