Can I rat on someone anonymously?

I mean, I want to rat out my colleague who is a complete bullshit of a worker and I don't know what I can do with it, since he is in my team. He is the type of guy that does not do anything in a high school project and then shows up at the end. Plus he is a douche, I mean I was like him in HS, is that what I deserved maybe for my sins? I don't know.

The irony is that I defended him with a talk with my MD, but he was fresh and we had nice relationship and I want him out on the streets now. Would that be a dick move? What do one include in HR letter?

can you? sure you can.

Should you? thats hard to know. just make sure that you aren't the only one who is aware of his shortcomings if you want to be anonymous.

just google it...you're welcome

What possible consequences do I have? I feel like I will make everyones life easier, I am not the only one that dislikes him, however I am shouting the loudest between other colleagues.

P.s I do not start discusssions on him, unless someone else brings that up, don't get me wrong

Exactly why does he have to be a pussy and go around his back? OP needs to man the fuck up and tell his coworker to pull his weight or eat a dick-- exactly like you said it

I'd highly recommend confronting him before taking it up with HR. Just be transparent with him and tell him to pull his own weight because you are tired of doing the work that he should be doing himself. If he believes you guys are friends then he will value your opinion much more than a slap-on-the-wrist and warning from management...

If he ignores that the I'd consider involving HR. I've heard some horror stories with how management handles people "ratting" on coworkers.

Best of luck though...
