Cannabis in High Finance??
Anyone here like to destress by lighting up a bowl of weed after a long week of work?
Was thinking this could help with relaxation and falling asleep faster, but unsure about the affects towards mental clarity or motivation (have historically found memory & motivation to decline a bit for a few days after smoking).
Was wondering if there was a way to have the benefits of weed without the side effects. Any suggestions?
Hell yeah man - weed is tight. Agreed on the negative effects. Only way I’ve found to limit it is:
Don’t get absolutely blasted. You get the same benefits / relaxation with less.
Keep it to the weekends or at least hold off until Thursday / Friday. I don’t think it hurts my motivation but definitely makes me less sharp. I like to have 100% clean Sundays and get a nice sweat in on Sunday or early on Monday’s so I’m sharp again.
Edit: I highly recommend a pax. I don’t think the vape carts are good for you but it’s much easier to control your quantity. Pax is healthier and more customizable (control of quantity and temp).
Yes weed is tight.

Just smoke on a Friday afternoon then do a nice workout on Sunday + 1 hour in Sauna
Yes 100% recommend going to the sauna. Also use more filters for resin and tar. That way you get more of the benefits of cannabis without as much of the unhealthy stuff
What kind of filters are you using? I’ve seen those glass tip ones and also the activated carbon stuff
Cannabis will help you fall asleep faster but the quality of your sleep will be lower as your system is busy eliminating the THC from your body. So all in all, it is worse for your sleep.
How about cbd products or edibles
This is where a lot of people get tripped up, mistaking sedation for quality sleep. Alcohol does the same thing. You feel like you’re resting, but your brain’s doing cleanup duty instead of recovery

I typically smoke 1-2x a week and play ps5 or watch a movie to unwind.
Personally I stopped because of the negative effects on my work quality. I do it maybe once a month, but yeah only Friday’s so I have the weekend to detox.
Interesting how many of us are landing on the same conclusion which is moderation or nothing. I’ve found sauna + CBD helps scratch the same itch without hitting cognitive performance

Yeah I’ve had the same struggle, like I wanted the relaxation without the brain fog after. What actually worked for me was getting a medical prescription through one of the best cannabis clinics here in the UK. They helped me find strains that are calming without being mentally heavy, so I could still focus the next day
