Careers best/tolerant of mental health issues

Hey everyone, not too sure how to start this but i’ll just cut straight to the chase.

I’m a high school student, diagnosed with clinical depression, panic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder.

i’m a relatively high functioning student with straight A’s but struggle with my mental health difficulties.

I’ve always been interested in finance and particularly the investing side of things but have recently come to my senses that I’ll most likely never make it under the IB intensity.

So my question is to you all; what are the best careers which are tolerant of mental health issues?

I should also note that I function on 2-6 hours of sleep and use work as a coping mechanism so am not afraid of some hard work.

TL;DR - I’m a high school student with depression, panic disorder and generalised anxiety disorder. What careers would suit me best?

Maybe you should work on getting rid of your anxiety & depression rather than accepting the biased diagnosis of a physician who makes money selling benzos and SSRIs to kids? Stress is an inherent part of life and work, especially in finance. You should look into innovative treatments based on psychedelic compounds such as MDMA, psilocybin or LSD, which have proven effects but are neglected by Big Pharma because it's much more profitable to hook up kids for life on antidepressants.

unfortunately being from Australia that’s not much of an option currently but being realistic i will need something to do with myself whilst i’m still working through it all.

shit that requires a psych degree. definitely not anything in business. but dude people have overcome far more severe "diagnoses" than yours. get to work. start researching and changing things around until you find things that work, keep those, cut bullshit from your life. might take a long long time but don't relegate yourself to some fucking second-class bucket.

2-6 hours of sleep? are you fucking kidding me? are you serious that you don't see a connection? oh my god start there holy fuck some people just baffle me

All therapists are mentally ill. I don’t know why but it really is a thing.

because they go into that field to figure their own shit out. i'd know. i'm going to grad school for psych for that very reason. not gonna be a therapist tho
