Why would you own a car though? It's probably just going to sit in a parking garage wasting money....

unnecessary if you live in manhattan. period. an uberluxury if you have one and only worthwhile if you make over like 750+ because then at least you can drive a lamborghini.

 

Buying a parking space can cost more than an apartment/coop/condo. why bother.

RBS is better than YOUR BS, and that's not saying much
 

Municipal parking is fairly cheap. I know a few NYers who have cars.

Between company cars, cabs, and the subway there really is no reason. However, about half of the VP/MDs I know have them.
