Chasing Madoff trailer

Thieving scumbag Bernie Madoff has inspired quite a few movies so far, from

to a high budget HBO biopic with De Niro cast as the thief himself. While it’s a little too early to judge the latter (bit worried that De Niro’s political stance would mess things up), this docu-drama that came out last week looks pretty decent.

For a post-crisis Wall Street documentary it doesn’t have the feel of a Michael Moore flick, which I find really refreshing after all the anti-Wall Street propaganda we’ve been subjected to, and while it does seem to inflate Harry Markopolos’ role in bringing down Madoff as well as creating further conspiracy theories about Wall Street, over-all I think it’s fairly watchable. Not sure if I’ll pay to watch it though.

What do you think monkeys? Are you putting this on your must-see movie lists?
