Lol since when is that a “radical move?” Are you completely unaware of how much Chicago has spent on after school programs going as far as to even try paying kids who simply attended school? The Freakonomics cats covered this before. Complete and utter money pit never shown to have positive results.

 

Chicago is in deep trouble. Daley & Emmanuel did a great job of keeping it fairly safe and attracting businesses. Griffin moved Citadel to Miami due to taxes and crime. 

Johnson is absolute bonkers. The guy literally thinks the solution to violent crime is throwing more money and looking at "non-prison" means of "rehabilitation." Expect crime to skyrocket under Johnson. The city already has a problem with South Side thugs going into the nice areas to commit crimes.

Piggybacking off of that, I won't be surprised if we see stories coming out about more police and other first responders leaving, making things even worse due to bad policy.

Kind of tangential, but if we see the whole tv/movie industry stop using Chicago as their setting because it's too dangerous for their crews? Then you can certainly put a fork in it and call it done.
