I would DC wouldn't be a bad option. It's getting pricier by the day, but there's lots of development in the area and a good amount of lending work too. Shenandoah and George Washington national parks are about 2ish hours away, plus Harper's Ferry and the rest of WV which is beautiful right over the border.
