I feel like it's been a while since we've had one of those funny story threads and figured this may generate a few laughs as I'm sure most of you have great stories. Have any of you seen or experienced a fuck up or something funny happen at a client site? Can be both from you, a team member or the client themselves.
I had this one story that is particularly sticking with me. We had this big project with the client's global team based out of the US but working on a project to improve the efficiency of a specific process with their European local affiliates. The client organised a workshop in Europe and had the affiliates from the larger European markets fly in for it. Long workshop, not many breaks. We finally get an afternoon coffee break and I head to the toilet. I'm at the urinals and next to me comes the local Italian affiliate who I was in a breakout session 3 minutes earlier. We are just standing there pissing next to each other when he SUDDENLY RIPS A MASSIVE FART. The fucking thing stank like death and was like a creaky door opening. This guy (whilst still just looking down at his cock) does "Ehhhhh about fucking time. I needed that".
The second he left the toilet I lost it. I couldn't stop laughing for a solid minute. Pretty balls to do that to someone you met 4 hours earlier.
I would have died. The only funny one I remember was when we went out with a client and he ordered pasta but it like kept getting delayed and he like went into orbit at the waiter and just yelled "where the fuck is my spaghetti." My MD was like almost passing out trying not to laugh. Dude's food never came until he changed his order. No idea why but he would talk about how mad he was every time he opened his mouth.
Farting in the bathroom is considered a fuck up?
Well, considering this wasn't the main client but an affiliate and considering we had met 4 hours earlier and the fart was followed with a loud remark, not sure this would be the greatest impression
Because he made a comment about a fart in the men's room? Loosen up
Hate to break it to you buddy but people don’t care what their vendors (incl consultants) think.. that’s why they ask any questions / including “dumb” ones.. it’s similar to how you don’t care what your uber driver thinks of you.
