College junior seeking advice

Hello everyone,

I'd be very grateful to anyone willing to read/skim through this and share their thought on the matter. I'm currently a junior studying finance at a non target school in Europe, and I've been looking to break into the industry (that being CorpFin or IBD) for a while. However, my gpa is on the low end side (around 3.0), and the current trend is not a positive one due some personal issues that unfortunately affected my academic performance during the last semester. So, any internship experience that I really need during this year seems to be out of my reach, because not only do they want a college grade transcript with my resume, but they also want my high school transcript. The fact that they want my high school transcript kills me, because I had the shittiest grades possible (think D's only). But don't get me wrong, I still apply for every internship position that I can find, although I do occasionally skip sending my high school transcript with some applications. Whether is hurts me or not, I don't know.

So, here I'm sitting and feeling unsure of what the future holds for a now below 3.0 gpa student. I've had one part time job at a small PWM firm, which only consisted of cold calling and some occasional back office administrative work, but basically no relevant work experience.

With that said, I don't want to throw in the towel just yet, or ever for that matter, but sometimes it feels like "gutter-tier" consulting is where I'll end up.

I'm keen on hearing what your thoughts are, and if there could be any solutions to this "problem" of mine.
