Common knowledge gaps in finance interviews?

I have watched and read on certain finance and accounting topics but it all goes in one ear and out the other. I already forgot the specifics on ASC 842. In an unfortunate event I tossed the WSO guide I purchased several years ago. My knowledge is too rudimentary and I don't know how to find knowledge gaps to prep for an interview.

What are some common basic knowledge gaps you might expect from someone who prepares but doesn't work in the industry?
