Career Resources
For once I thought this might not be finance related...
Anyway, one cool job a friend has is that they are a professional sportsman. I think it's a pretty awesome career and when they retire at 30 they can then take up another career without needing to worry about money.
Another friend works for a record label and gets to travel around the world going to gigs and music festivals. Seems like a lot of fun and they will get us passes for events whenever we go to things which is a bonus.
In order of "coolness": pornstar, CIA assassin, skateboarder, and personal trainer.
There are no such things as cool jobs in finance, unless you are running your own fund/shop/bank/startup/etc.
Sorry OP. As much as I love finance, it's not "cool" unless you're of course a super successful person running his own fund.
Gosh WSO is a bunch of losers. One of my buddies works for a pro football team-personally knows most of the players. Another friend works as a ranch hand out in Wyoming
Two guys are DJs, one worked on Charlie Rose (got to know all the interviewees and worked very closely with Charlie) and is now an author and one was a fighter pilot.
