Coughing up mold

I quit smoking weed almost two weeks ago. Was smoking like an 8th a day - sometimes a quarter. Only a couple days ago have I started coughing up black shit. While smoking weed chronically for years, it doesn't happen. Like your lungs get complacent or some shit. And then, when you show them you're actually doing it, they begrudgingly begin the cleanup process... Interesting...

Try to keep them digits in tact today, boys.

Aye bro. I’ve had chest congestion issues from smoking too much bud before too.

You should invest in a puffco and get a wax presser. You’ll be inhaling less smoke (really none at all because it’s vaporized), it’ll be more pure (99.9% thc versus 20% thc and tar), and at lower temperatures (vaporizing at 500 degrees Fahrenheit as opposed to combustion at 800 degrees). It cleared up my chest.

Weren’t you using a bong to filter out the smoke?

I quit 420 temporarily 7 days ago. It’s weird - I don’t like it. I have a stockpile of 420 also - so very tempting.

Inhaling any smoke can be unhealthy. Using a bong can trap as much as 90% of the toxins that you would have otherwise inhaled straight into your lungs. Passing marijuana smoke through water removes substances such as cytotoxins that can actually impair your immune cells. The filtration provided by a bong is beneficial, especially for smokers who have certain immunodeficiencies.

Sure, to be clear:

Cannabis and tobacco smoke are not equally carcinogenic

"While cannabis smoke has been implicated in respiratory dysfunction, including the conversion of respiratory cells to what appears to be a pre-cancerous state [5], it has not been causally linked with tobacco related cancers [6] such as lung, colon or rectal cancers."

yeah that's definitely the lungs clearing out stuff. check james nestor and brian mackenzie's work on breath work to help ensure your lungs are healthy

I thought I was a heavy smoker, never been on an 8th-qtr daily though, that's a lot

out of curiosity - what was your method? joints? blunts? bong? bowl? dab?

hmm, I wonder if it was the joints that did it, but now you've got me thinking I need to do a cleanse myself to see if I've got black shit built up, I'm all glass

did you ever do any distance cardio? I know that steady state cardio for a while can help clear the lungs, just curious. either way, glad your body is doing it for you and nothing bad happened
