creating a DAO

Has anyone here created a DAO? I am looking into creating one with a few other people for a niche group that I started a little while back. The purpose of the DAO would be to buy cashflow positive businesses, and then we would put someone who is a part of our niche group in place to run the business, this person put in place to run the business would be able to earn equity in the business over time and would eventually own the business outright. I only just came up with this idea a few days ago as a pivot from something else that I was trying to do that hadn't been working out, so I am in the stage of exploring the idea right now to see if it even makes sense to create one. The other people who I am looking into creating this DAO with are more knowledgeable about DAOs (or have friends who have created one already), but I wanted to bring the topic up on here to see if there is anyone on here who has advice in terms of best practices when it comes to creating/operating a DAO, and whether it makes sense to even create one.

Also what would be the optimal tech stack to run one of these (thinking more in terms of the best practice rather than the easiest way to do it)? These are questions that my buddies who have friends who have created one are looking into right now but I want to try and do my own research as well.

Generally curious about this, sounds like a cool concept. How would this differ from a traditional buyout holdco?

Should have more clarity on this tomorrow after a call that I'm going to have with one of my buddies who has looked into starting a lot of DAOs. I will reply again to this message tomorrow afternoon.
