Credit history - want to remove negs

I have a negative event from August 2008. If we follow the 7 year rule, it should fall off my credit history in August 2015.

However, one of the credit reporting agencies is going to remove it early, in March 2015.

Is it true that if 1 agency removes a negative acct, that the other 2 must also remove the negative account? I heard that somewhere but I don't know if it's hogwash. If so, I'd like to call the other 2 up and have them remove it 5 months early.

No. All (3) agencies are separate and independent. Some creditors don't report to all (3), so you will have to take it up with the remaining (2) on getting it deleted early.

Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.
