I've been using credit karma for several months now. Agree that it's a great FREE service that provides accurate credit scores without doing a hard pull on your credit history.

I've been using it for a while. It gives you a good idea of where you stand, and helps you understand what can help or hurt you score. But as a free service, it's not going to be 100% accurate. Also, I would expect it would help you notice if there were fraudulent accounts in your name.

When YOU pull your credit score it doesn't hurt you, it's only when someone else pulls it. I know some places like Discover and American Express will pull it for you on your behalf, but you usually pay a monthly fee. As long as someone is doing it on your behalf, you won't get dinged.

Just curious, is it secure for the most part? Last thing I need to be a victim of ID theft while trying to protect myself against it :P
