Criminal Psychology

Almost all the mass shootings in US are on concerts, schools or on social activities on white people. Just out of curiosity, why there were never mass shootings in the hoods? It's because the shooters tend to spill their rage on those who marginalized them in the past, they want to get media attention (massacres on social activities get more attention than shootings in the hoods) or those hoods usually are untouchable by white people?

Your post is more based on heuristics than actual facts, so caution is warranted. I think Q&A format is warranted here.

Q: What constitutes a mass shooting?

A: A mass shooting is a gun violence event where more than 3 people are shot.

Q: Who perpetrates mass shootings?

A: Mass shootings are overwhelmingly perpetrated by men. White Americans are underrepresented as perpetrators of mass shootings relative to their proportion of the underlying population, disrupting the common media archetype of the lone-wolf, disenchanted angry white man. White men are more likely to commit mass murder to wipe out their families (almost always murder suicide), while Black men were more likely to be involved in felony mass shootings where a felony had already been committed. Shootings in large public venues tend to be committed in approximately the same proportion as people are in the population, racially speaking. In the top 5 deadliest mass shootings in American history, three were perpetrated by white men, one by an Asian man, and one by a Middle Eastern man.
Q: Who tends to die in mass shootings?

A: Where it is possible to identify the race of the decedent, black people are vastly overrepresented in the death toll of mass shootings. This is the most notable demographic characteristic of the victim distribution.

Slight correction: a mass shooting event is more than three people shot in a single incident (outright killed or even thankfully just simply grazed). And yes, I know that is basically saying "ahck-shu-al-lee, this is the cleanest dirty shirt".
