Curved Monitor vs. Flat one - WFH setup
Hi guys,
I am planning to buy 2x 24' monitors for home setup, but cannot decide betweem curved ones and flat ones. I personally would like curved but everyone is saying that xlsx and pptx will be distorted and it's not for IB work. Is anyone using curved ones and can share their opinion?
Would be also glad to hear your propositions for monitors!
Thank you
i have one curved one flat, dont notice a single difference honestly
I have two curved and sit in the middle of the circle they make. Don't really notice a difference between curved or flat
I'd go with the curve one, it provides a more immersive experience than flat ones. They also provide a wider field of view and fill more of your peripheral vision.
I have several curved screens, all of them 27". Honestly, it doesn't make a difference. Had flat ones before and wanted to try something new. The curve isn't that strong.
The only real immersive experience comes with more curvature and real gaming screens, properly setup with graphics and all.
Thank you all! And how about aligning charts, logos and lines? Isn't it more complicated with curved ones?
Not in my experience, plus you can always show gridlines on Powerpoint if you want to be entirely sure things are lining up.
