Date night

What are some of your favorite restaurants to eat at in and around the Atlanta area? Wanted to make date night special. Also if there are other activities that aren't competitive like bowling.

I went on a date in Atlanta a few years ago.

The girl and I were running late for our dinner reservations at this Korean BBQ place (the name escapes me. I think it was Iron Age or something) But anyways, she wanted to go see the aquarium before dinner so we literally ran through the place in 20 minutes and only took 1 picture with her Polaroid camera. Best date I've ever been on. It's the person you're with that makes the date bud. Food was fantastic though if you're into Korean food.

Iron Age was probably it. There are plenty of KBBQ restaurants on Pleasant Hill Road. Oh! My SamGyupSal, Breakers, 678, 9292, and Honey Pig are also fantastic.

I've spent a little time in ATL. Great city. What part of town are you going to? I found Buckhead/Midtown great areas for a night out.

If you want to keep it upscale, I made a great date night out of dinner at Southern Art and Bourbon Bar followed by cocktails at Whiskey Blue (rooftop bar).

That's my 2 cents. Lots of great options though so it's hard to go wrong.

Pizza: Antico's or Fellini's on Ponce (sit outside by the fountain - had several first dates there)

No. 246 or Brickstore in Decatur. Brickstore is excellent for this time of year

Marcel or Bacchanalia or Atlas or Bones if you're going to throw some cash.

Ormsbys or Little Trouble on the Westside (ormsbys has a big bar game area)

Nuevo Laredo if you want a cozy mexican dive.

PM me if you need more suggestions

Antico may be the best pizza I've ever had and Marcel or Bacchanalia are great. I'd add Kevin Rathbun Steak and Chops Lobster Bar to the "spend some money" list.

I am so sad to learn that Dante's Down The Hatch had closed down after I moved away. My favorite date night spot and the site of many special occasions.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Fox Bros is my favorite barbecue place in Atlanta.

...don't tell me barbecue is bad date food. It worked for me, it can work for you.

I have been on a couple dates to Eclipse Di Luna and Barcelona Wine Bar. Both are tapas places which are solid first date establishments IMO. Allows you to start with drinks and move to small plates if you think things are going well.

Other than that, I'd say grab drinks at Krog and then dinner at Rathbuns.

"audiblechimp" I believe the city of Atlanta is the proud patron of several fine Bojangles locations.

Pretty much heresy to recommend that over Chick Fil A in ATL
