So to address some of the accusations, I'll simply start with: I really don't think I'm racist. If l3 or anyone else believes so, please find my posts which prove this...don't just make empty, inflammatory accusations.
I'm glad that you have a white friend and go to a predominantly white institution, unfortunately that doesn't mean you don't harbor feelings of hatred or anger towards my race and it doesn't absolve you from being guilt of the same, or similar, things that you have accused many on this forum of.
You strike me as far more insecure than you do 'proud'...but whatever gets you through the day and keeps you motivated.
As for whether you got your offer because you are black...I never cared enough to give it any thought. I don't know if you are some sort of affirmative action hire but one thing I do know is you didn't get that offer because of your sunny disposition.
Sadly you, nor anyone else on this forum actually know me or who I am or anything of the sort. Suffice it to say, I would bet good money that my immediate family is more diverse than your study group at your target university.
I do want to thank you for reaching out because you've done more damage to your own reputation than I ever could have. Of course, the best part about your PM is the last part where you managed to reveal your true colors.

I will say, cphbravo96, your non-race related comments and posts are very informative. That said, as a black person who spends 99% of his time with white banker types, this isn't necessary. The girl is just a little in denial about what it means to be a minority.
However, I know that none of you would ever talk the way you do on anonymous message boards in person, or admit that you like to chirp black people. Whatever. Point is, live.love.laugh should know the internet is where people of all races and genders vent their racist/sexist/homophobic personal schemata. I do it for my personal prejudices, and white people do it for theirs. If she's gotten to the point of being an analyst and 23-24 years growing up in the US, she should know that white people still harbor resentment towards others, just like I may have a problem with Ukrainians or people who like to dress up like teddy bears and fuck (random examples).
Taking the time to write a post ranting about some poor sheltered black girl who doesn't get it, when you're (presumably) a PE executive, is a little bit sad, I must say.
The only reason I did it was to show the rest of the community who she really is. I didn't post this as a rant, after all she has to live with herself. The point was, don't PM taking cheap shots at my character and provide no proof.
The problem I have with L3 is that she is more of a problem than a solution. The black race, or any race for that matter, is best served if they have people that they do/may associate with correct there actions. If I, as a white person, tell a black person that their behavior is unacceptable or barbaric, I am instantly labeled as a racist and ignored. If someone like blackfinancier steps up and says something, it's certainly possible he might be labeled an Uncle Tom, but it's also possible that someone might take his advice because they see what's he has accomplished (or will) and accept his criticism. Instead L3 would much rather make excuses and detract from the fact that the behavior in question is unacceptable and has no place in a civilized society.

As far as Independent Gestion's point about me being sheltered, yea I guess I am extremely sheltered. Though I've always been in predominantly White schools and most of my friends are White, I've never openly experienced the amount of racism that is present of this board. It actually shocked me to see that so many people in finance (or who want to be in finace) would refer to Black people as "Niggers" and not want to live around Blacks just because of skin color in this day and age (refer to "Latest McDonald's Beatdown" thread). I showed the thread to my friend to get an idea of whether of not the majority of people think this way. Being that I'm going into finance, I would like to know ahead of time if I'm going to have to face a lot of discrimnation in the work place. My friends assured me that it is just internet bravado (sp), and even if people think it, they won't say it. So yea, I guess I you could say I was / am a little insecure about the idea of the posts on this board being the reality of my everyday life after school. Hopefully fingers crossed the people who I work with are more like my friends and truely not judging me because of the color of my skin, and less like what WSO members have made me feel like the finance community really is like.
I actually came on this site to get legit advice on Wall Street related things, and have gotten a lot of it. But I guess it won't happen under this user name! lol. WSO has been super duper helpful though. Great website. So I'll prob just make another name if I want legit advice. Good day folks :)

If you can't tell I'm brown. Have you seen a brown person in an east asian (i.e. Korea, Japan, China) country? We stick out like a whore in a church. That doesn't mean people openly say shit to me.
