Did working with numbers come easy to you all before you decided to major in Finance?
I'm not the best with numbers or working with formulas, but I do want to work in Finance and do enjoy it. I see people in my class that easily get the subject matter when the teacher is going over it and then there is me that has to put in two times the effort than students that just get it.
Did anyone have a similar experience? Where are you now in you industry? Is it even worth pursuing Finance if it doesn't come easy to me like most people?
Sure, you need to have proficiency in numbers/math to do well in corporate finance, but to be clear, it is a learning curve that gets very flat very quickly. It's basically like arithmetic with a bunch of semi-arbitrary rules. Modeling is also basically an open ended logic puzzle.
