Discounts on Financial Times, WSJ, Business Week, The Economist, etc

So I recently subscribed to Business Week and I am toying with the idea of getting the FT and The Economist. Anyone have any coupon codes or way to get these cheap? I used to bootleg The Economist for my Ipad, but if I can get it relatively cheap I would prefer the paper copy.

So bring forth ye discount codes for one and all to enjoy.

how much information can you actually read in a day? That's a hell of a lot of material to get through, which while will give a general overview of the world, without specifics, you're a jack of all trades competing against aces no?

not sure what your objective for this is, if its just to find out more, then go for it, unless you're using your free time more productively at the moment.

I got The Economist by using airline miles. Most miles programs have an option for subscriptions and it's usually one of the titles offered. FT is going to be harder - most print margins are so thin they literally can't afford a coupon. Having said that, FT is one quality fucking paper. Worth every penny IMO.

I am mainly looking for the FT for a daily read and I crush Businessweek in a couple hours. I'll read The Economist all week when I have time, so it is a manageable info load.

The FT is the ball buster. Friggin 200 bucks is cheapest I can find, which sucks compared to the WSJ. I just hate the fluff in the Journal and would prefer something global in perspective.

The Economist is a MUST read in my opinion. They are usually like a year ahead in terms of their forecasting of global economic and political developments.

I ebb and flow with my business blog interest, but I read Credit Writedowns (http://www.creditwritedowns.com/) and Bloomberg a lot. LCD Comp is good also. Anything I read at work tends to be industry specific, but outside of work The Economist and Bloomberg Business week are mainstays.

Bloomberg Capital Markets is a great magazine, but I just reach an overload point with things. Finance isn't really a diehard love of mine so I need to mix up the reading with some history and international affairs to balance things out.

The FT is out of their F'ing mind.

200 bucks is cheapest I could find for a non shady subscription. That doesn't include online/IPad. That is an extra like 300 bucks. Wow man, the balls.

FT is great but really fucking expensive. They did educational discounts last year (about a 100 bucks for print/iPad reading). Now that my year is about to run up, I can't find any educational discounts...at all. : /. I'm gonna call them...will post back with any info.

Again, I've paid full retail for FT and I think its worth it. Keep in mind that you get the dailies and you also get the magazines. As stupid as it sounds, I fucking love their magazines. Its one of the few things who's design I admire and it had pretty good articles too. It IS a lot of money, no doubt, but I think it's totally worth it.

JPete318Go back to school, we have a stack of WSJ's sitting in our campus Post Office every morning free for the taking. Makes passing time between classes much more productive.

Oh I wish I was. Both the FT and WSJ was free on campus. Those were the days.
