Do analysts/associates really have no time to text?
I've been dating an IB associate at an EB who seems to be immeasurably busy. Average bedtime seems to be 2/3am on weekdays and spends at least one day during the weekend working. If not working, uses the weekend to catch up on sleep.
Is it normal for analysts and associates to be so busy? Do you not have the time (or the mental capacity) to reply to texts during crunch periods?
Whenever chicks that clearly don't work in finance make burners to try and get the drop on their finance boyfriends it kills me.
I aint snitchin' doe, that man prolly hardly has time to take a poo, let alone carry on with an engaging and in-depth conversation via text. As long as he texts you goodnight he's doin his best.

One of the greatest things about being in a long-term relationship is letting go of the constant need to be in contact with your partner. It's amazing. My fiance and I operate on the basis of: is it important? is it funny? if neither than it can wait until we're home.

Normal for the first year or two. After that it's more of a choice than anything else.
Texting, do you mean like not responding in 30 minutes or not responding for a day at a time? First is normal, second it's a choice as to what's important.
No, between the never ending workstreams and continuous day drinking to keep the voices in check, there's not much time to text.
