No, pussies finish last. For some reason "nice guy" is now equated with being a pussy. You can be a nice guy and still stand up for yourself, your thoughts, and your beliefs. Pussies don't do that and a lot of pussies are seen as nice guys, so somewhere along the line the two have become synonymous.
I consider myself to be a nice guy, and most of the time I really am. But when people do/say stupid shit I have no problem getting into it. One of my friends started calling me a "nice asshole" and that kinda caught on with my friends. Fuck that, I'm a nice guy that's not a pussy.

I'd like to think I am a nice guy. I try not to think about or worry about whether I am tough or whether I am a pussy. If I get mugged, and the guy has a gun, I am going to hand over my wallet rather than try to pull some MMA stuff.
I don't care whether I finish first or last so long as I finish with a 60 acre farm on Lake Michigan. I think we need to set reasonable goals relative to ourselves than worry about trying to beat everyone else. If we try to beat everyone else, having that in mind as a goal is often counterproductive to that same goal.

DM basically got this: you can be assertive without being a prick. The pussy gets kicked around, the prick eventually gets taken down by everyone, but most confident+courteous folks tend to do well.
As far as licentiousness, there's a time and a place. If you're in your 20's, single, and employed....have at it. Otherwise, sort your priorities out. We're biologically programmed a certain way, but that doesn't always make it right or beneficial to you.
i can't think a more appropriate time that this answer applies: it depends on the situation. You don't need to be nice guy all the time, definitely don't be a dick all the time, don't be @flake at any time, and you'll be good

Just be yourself and don't be a pushover. You don't have to kick ass 24/7 and be a dick head all the time. Honestly, dick heads tend to be the biggest pussies. They just run unchecked so much because most people avoid confrontation.
It is really something you grow into though. At 22 you can put on a nice face, but most people don't have a clue. By the time you reach late 20's you will have experience, money and know your limitation and goals. People usually respect that stuff.
Here is a pro tip. Women like guys who talk to them. And I don't mean cat calling. Go say something, anything. And don't roll out with 5 dudes and be on your phone all night. Wolves hunt in a pack, but they also eat one animal they all kill. Unless your bro-pack is planning an orgy go out with one other hunter and no more.
