I agree. I also just feel guilty when I ever bullshit people or white lie for any reason. Good things usually happen when you tell the truth all the time.

No. Plenty of terrible people get away with being terrible, and plenty of genuinely good people have terrible things happen to them. It's just reality.

I don't believe in karma as some cosmic force for balance. I do believe that doing right by people makes it more likely they'll do right by you. A.k.a. having a good reputation. Yes, sometimes cheaters prosper, but more often assholes get by until they have a problem, and then realize they have no one to go to bat for them, or help them.

I don't believe in Karma per se but I do believe in being a good person. If you can do a selfless act then just do it without any expectation of the world paying you back eventually. Most of the stuff we do is self-serving anyway so why not be a good person when you can?
