Do you invest in any individual emerging or frontier markets?

In your personal portfolio, do you invest in any individual companies and/or indexes of individual emerging or frontier markets? Where I work in finance in about as far away from EM related stuff one can get, so I wouldn't be quite sure how to start here. And I'm not talking about buying something like MSCI EM, half of which is basically China. I'm talking about finding conviction in something like Nigeria or Chile. Would be interested in hearing if anyone does this!

My family has a few small investments in real estate and a couple businesses in Pakistan. My uncle over there knows a few people and got my dad connected with them. Over the last 10 years or so we’ve been building out a little portfolio. It’s pretty risky just because you’re not always sure the type of people your dealing with and regulations are not enforced like in the US. You can get away with a lot of stuff over there (not saying my family does anything illegal). It’s also best to know someone who is trustworthy otherwise very easy to get cheated...or killed. Anyway, not sure if this exactly what you’re looking for, but thought I’d share.
